Since the dawn of time…

Over the last several weeks I have gotten more and more frustrated with the political landscape.  It really has gotten out of control.  And more and more I found myself wanting to do more.  Everyday I would hear lies and obfuscation by both parties.  Every time I heard these untruths I wanted to desperately alert everyone that they were all being duped. 

The worst of it has been over the debt ceiling.  All the talk, all the manipulation, all of the outright lies, all of the blame was completely and utterly infuriating.  However, it was Sean Hannity and other lying, manipulative pundits that have driven me to start this blog. 

Politics for dummies is not necessarily for dummies… because it’s hard at times for even the most politically versed to parse through the bullshit and madness.  I created this blog to be a commentary on all things that occur in politics.  But what I want to do is not just give people commentary… I want to give facts. In a meaningful, honest, and understandable way. 

Some people might wonder what makes me a reliable source for this kind of information.  The answer is that I am a proud citizen of the United States, and I’m about as average as they come.  I am public school educated, I studied Political Science at a top public university in the nation.  I hold an average job, and I have a centrist point of view on most politics. But I would like to think if I can get enough people to read this blog and come back over time that you can come to trust the information that I provide. 

OBJECTIVE:

1. I want to provide people with reasonable (SHOCK) honest and reliable information that comes from reliable unbiased sources. 
2. I want this blog to be fun though! SO … Ill make sure it’s that, too.
3. I want people to be able to know what is opinion and what is fact. As such I will be PAINFULLY clear about this.

My hope is that if I can bring some truth in an unbiased manner to other people like me, then maybe it’s possible that a reasonable group of individuals can one day be members of congress. Maybe it’s possibly to move this country off the path to self destruction and onto a path that secures our place at the top (where we belong).  It’s going to be hard, but when you want to move up… you have to exert more energy… that’s just science.
